Olivia Grey Smith is an Art Director, Photographer, Graphic Designer, and Fine Artist.

Born in Washington, DC, Olivia moved to NYC in 1999 to study at School of Visual Arts. Graduating with a BFA in Design, she began freelancing for Verve Records, Motown Records, and Republic Records, designing cover art and packaging for such acts as Natalie Cole, Nicki Minaj, Young Money, and Nas + Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

In 2015, she came onboard full time as a Senior Art Director for Sony Music (RCA, Columbia, Epic, & Legacy). While at Sony, she directed and created art for, among others, H.E.R., Backstreet Boys, Pitbull, Jamie Foxx, and Rick Ross, along with designing merch for Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, A Tribe Called Quest, and Michael Jackson.

Now freelance, Olivia is concentrating on art direction and photography, having shot recording artists for Columbia, RCA, and Arista Records (SayGrace, Ayokay, Winnetka Bowling League, Isabel LaRosa, and Beach Weather).

Her collaboration on the Riverzine series has appeared at the NYABF & LAABF, and is archived at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In 2022, she art directed H.E.R.'s album Back of My Mind, winning a silver Clio Award.
